A fresh set stays beautiful for longer with a little care at home. None of this takes more than a minute a day.
Everyday habits
- Wear gloves for washing up and cleaning. Hot water and cleaning products are hard on nails and on the skin around them.
- Do not use your nails as tools. Opening cans or scratching off labels is the quickest way to chip or lift a set.
- Keep your hands moisturised, including the skin around the nails.
Cuticle oil
A drop of cuticle oil massaged into the base of each nail keeps the skin soft and the nail flexible. Once a day, before bed, is plenty.
If something lifts or breaks
If the edge of your gel starts to lift, resist picking at it: peeling it off can take the top of your natural nail with it. If a nail breaks, keep it clean and dry and come in for a single nail repair; there is no need to redo the whole set.
Book your next visit on time
Gel and hard gel grow out with your nails. A refill every two to three weeks keeps the shape balanced and the nails strong, and it is quicker than starting again.
A little extra
Between sets, a spa manicure is a relaxing way to care for your hands: a soak, gentle exfoliation, a nourishing mask and a hand massage.
Questions we are asked
What should I do if a nail breaks?
Keep it clean and dry, and book a single nail repair. The rest of your set stays as it is.
How often should I book a refill?
Usually every two to three weeks, as your nails grow.
